Handmade steel bicycles from a little shop in Copenhagen, Denmark. The shop survived from 1953 to 2013.

"Only few people call him Bendt A. Nielsen. Bananen and Lillebror built steel bikes, which top professional riders from all over Europe in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s traveled far to get built. F. ex. the former World Champion belgian Freddy Maertens and Hans-Henrik Ørsted rode on Banani handmade frames. For many years it was only a few 6-day riders who didn’t ride one of Banani’s exceptionally rigid steel frames.»

All Banani frames have a frame number beginning with BA and ending with a letter of the alphabet designating the year of build.
